After Edina, I attended Choate for a year and then the University of Minnesota Institute of Technology School of Architecture. I graguated from the U with Bachalor of Architecture degree. I spent several years as an intern with numerous great architectural firms in Minneapolis and started my own firm, Bruce Knutson Architects in 1975. I have been very fortunate to practice a wide variedy of architectural design on both a local and a national level. I love my business, I never have to go to work because it is so much fun. I married Terry Pedersen in 1970; we have two children Todd 40, married to Jennifer Buley. They have two children, Callen 12 and Tate 4. our daughter Nikki 37, is married to Andy Dypwick and they have two childrem, Fletcher 5 and Ruby 2. They all live very close to us and we are blessed to have them around all the time. Terry day cares the grand kids 3-4 days per week with several sleep overs! Terry and I love to travel, dine and dance, golf and spend time with our friends and family. We were both involved with the Childrens Theater and the Washburn Child Guidance Center. I am very active in numerous business organizations; currently the Chairman of the Residential Committee of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Institue of Architects, NARI, past member of the School of Architecture Advisory Board and Board of the Minnesota Association of General Contractors. I love to bicycle, golf, water ski and snow ski, I do ski instruction for disabled persons in the winter and coached hockey at Washburn for 14 years. I might fall into the fanatic catagory when it comes to spectator sports; Gophers, Vikings, Twins etal; any excuse for a costume party! Whenever high school buddies get together, we always end up sharing stories about Stav and coach Ikola. they both had a big influence on a lot of people! There are way too many high school memories to recount. However, Denny Lofgren and his "cousin" date Butch Hagan at the prom might be tops! Hi to all I miss you!
